Delete your account & data

App package: com.codecastic.bounds · Operator: Codecastic Studios

The fastest path is in-app. Open Bounds → Settings → Privacy → Delete account. Your account is marked for deletion and a 30-day cooling period begins; sign in any time during those 30 days to cancel and recover everything. After 30 days, all your data is removed.

If you can't access the app

If you've uninstalled, lost device access, or need help with deletion, email us at privacy@codecastic.com with the subject line "Bounds account deletion" and include:

The email address linked to your Bounds account (Google sign-in or email-link sign-in)
Optional: your last app version or approximate sign-up date, to help us locate the account

We will confirm receipt within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days of confirmation.

What gets deleted

Your user account record (profile, sign-in providers, preferences)
Your subscription entitlement (active or expired). The underlying Google Play purchase remains with Google; manage that at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions
Your device-registration records (which devices were linked, when)
Your survey responses (if you completed an in-app survey)
Your audit-log slice (admin actions affecting your account)
The Firebase Authentication record (so the email/Google account is no longer recognised by Bounds)

What is retained, and why

Anonymized analytics events in Amplitude / Firebase Analytics, which contain no personal identifier after account deletion. Aggregate retention periods are set by those providers.
Crash reports in Firebase Crashlytics, retained up to 90 days; the user identifier is detached on deletion.
Billing records required for tax / dispute resolution, retained per legal obligation and isolated from the deleted account.

Trial and subscription state

Deletion does not refund an active subscription. To stop billing, cancel through Google Play before requesting deletion. Trial state is reset; if a fresh device-fingerprint matches your previous trial, eligibility for a new trial is governed by our trial-system rules.

Cooling period

When you tap Delete account in-app, the account enters a pending_deletion state. You can cancel by signing in within 30 days. After 30 days, deletion is automatic and irreversible. This window protects against accidental taps and account hijacking.
